Le Vivier is at the centre of the Mont St Michel bay. The tidal rise -that is the difference between high and low tide- can reach up to 50 feet. At low tide you will be able to go for long walks into the ocean and see the mussels on their typical stakes (Le Vivier is the mussel-breeding center of France - more than 10,000 tons per year); or you can visit the sandcastles of the sandworms (Unesco world heritage site) or you can just walk along the 14th century dyke which was built by the request of Anne Duchess of Brittany. Ten miles to the east you will get to Mont St Michel. To the west you will get to Cancale and furtehr on to St Malo (13 miles).
How to get there:
By car: Take the highway from Rouen - Caen - Avranches up to exit Dol-de-Bretagne/Le Vivier-sur-Mer.... or from Paris - Le Mans up to exit Laval/Fougères and then national road to Fougères, Dol-de-Bretagne, Le Vivier.
By train: TGV from Paris to Dol-de-Bretagne or Saint Malo (we pick you up).
By ship: Ferries from England and the Channel Islands.

Breakfast will be served in our living/dining room. Additionally each room has their own coffeemaker
